Peter Robb

I am reading at the moment (on my Kindle) a book by Peter Robb - Street fight in Naples: A city's unseen history. I know very little about Peter Robb other than what he reveals explicitly or otherwise in his book. He is an Australian who has spent many years in Italy, and in particular in Naples.
I have also read his books Midnight in Sicily and M (about Caravaggio or Merisi).

Old fashioned names

I have a certain nostalgia for names.They carry history with them.
I notice now that some physicists think Eilenberg and Mac Lane's name "category" is not optimal and suggest instead "semigroupoid".
An even bolder proposal is to change the old fashioned name  "mathematics" to   "homotopy type theory pseudocode".

MathSciNet

I rarely look at MathSciNet these days, but I noticed yesterday that most of my recent papers are not mentioned there, and probably never will be.  To me the papers have considerable mathematical interest.  It's the problem of being a mathematician working in computer science - or maybe I am no longer a mathematician.
